Garut PR- Entering the 38th day of the deadly conflict between Israel and Iran and the armed group Hezbollah, the situation is no longer just about fighting on the front lines. Behind the boom of missiles and the constant wailing of sirens, Israel’s economy is now on the verge of terrible pressure, as if it is slowly being eroded from within.

The total cost of the war has reached a fantastic figure, at least 15 billion US dollars or around Rp. 254.89 trillion. This figure is not the end, but the beginning of a wound that is expected to deepen. Every day the conflict continues, the financial burden continues to increase, dragging the economy into an increasingly dark abyss of uncertainty.

The economic newspaper Calcalist reported that the Israeli Defense Ministry had even proposed an additional emergency budget of 12.4 billion US dollars. This jumbo fund is needed to keep the war machine running, starting from military operations, logistics, to air defense which continues to be forced to work non-stop in the face of repeated attacks.

Analysts warn that this budget surge is not just temporary. Israel is predicted to be trapped in a cycle of increasing military spending until next year, due to fears of a prolonged conflict with Iran and Hezbollah. The previously proposed budget efficiency plans collapsed, replaced by the harsh reality: war had become an inevitable top priority.

On the other hand, destruction began to spread to the civil sector. Rocket attacks hitting various areas have triggered around 26,000 claims for compensation for property damage. Its value is estimated at 320 to 450 million US dollars, a figure that continues to grow with each new explosion that rocks the neighborhood.

However, the biggest nightmare actually comes from the indirect economic impact. The government must disburse up to 2.3 billion US dollars for compensation for affected businesses and workers. Thousands of businesses have been paralyzed, economic activity has stopped, and production has been forced to stop amid widespread fear.
