Garut PR- Tensions in the Middle East have reached an alarming point again after a shocking statement was broadcast live on Israeli television. In a discussion witnessed by the public, journalist Shimon Riklin openly called for the use of nuclear weapons against Iran, an extreme proposal that immediately sparked a wave of international condemnation.
This moment attracted even more attention because of the presence of Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir at the same forum. Instead of showing rejection, Ben-Gvir was seen smiling, even laughing lightly when the statement was made, a reaction that many saw as a signal of tacit approval of the dangerous idea.

Quoting Yeni Safak’s report on April 6 2026, Riklin in the broadcast said that “it is time” for Israel to consider using an atomic bomb against Iran. He argued that a nuclear attack could cause a “limited” number of casualties, but claimed to be able to prevent greater losses in the future, a logic that immediately sparked controversy.
It doesn’t stop there, a report from Internet Haber reveals that this is not the first time Riklin has put forward a similar idea. In a number of previous public discussions, he also mentioned the option of using neutron bombs, indicating the increasing extreme rhetoric in Israeli media discourse regarding the conflict with Iran.
