LOMBOK NEWS – Saudi Arabia expressed its support for the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, and hopes for a complete end to conflicts in the Middle East region.
The statement was made by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday in response to the latest diplomatic developments in the region.
In its official statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry welcomed the statement by United States President Donald Trump and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the achievement of a ceasefire agreement between Washington and Tehran. This support reflects Riyadh’s hope that regional stability can be realized soon.

A report from Anadolu Agency stated that the Pakistani Prime Minister announced that the agreement included an immediate cessation of conflict in various regions, including Lebanon. This ceasefire is said to take effect immediately in all affected conflict zones.
In his statement via the X social media platform, Sharif said that the United States and Iran, together with their respective allies, had agreed to a complete cessation of hostilities.
He emphasized that this step was an important effort towards broader peace in the region.
Previously, President Donald Trump also expressed his willingness to suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks as part of initial de-escalation steps.

This policy is seen as a positive signal to open space for further dialogue between the two countries. Furthermore, Sharif revealed plans to invite delegations from the United States and Iran to Islamabad next Friday.
