The rider, later identified as Jeffery McDonald, 59, of Malcolm, was pronounced dead at the scene. 59 years old, not young anymore, but also not too old to enjoy life. What prompted him to make the decision to run away? We will never know for sure.

The Nebraska State Patrol has asked the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office to investigate this fatal crash.
