Judge Shin Jong-oh, the legal warrior who had just set a milestone for justice by heavily sentencing the wife of the former ruler of South Korea, Kim Keon-hee, was found tragically dead on the terrace of the fifth floor of Seoul High Court.
This death is not just sad news; This is a harsh blow to public reason who saw how “timely” death came to the judge, exactly eight days after he dared to double the former First Lady’s sentence to four years in prison.
The official narrative indeed quickly handed over a piece of paper that read, “I left of my own accord,”a short sentence that seemed designed to close the door to speculation. However, for those who understand how cruel the labyrinth of power is, the absence of mention of the most crucial case in the history of his career in these records actually triggers greater suspicion.
