Trump Believes the United States Military Can Take Iran's Enriched Uranium, Tehran Still Refuses

CIREBON NEWS – United States (US) President Donald Trump is confident of being able to take Iran’s enriched uranium. Meanwhile, Tehran insists it will not hand over uranium because its nuclear program has peaceful aims.

So far, the US and Israel have been very worried about Iran developing enriched uranium for nuclear weapons. Operation Epic Fury at the end of February 2026, one of the objectives of which is to destroy a number of nuclear sites in Iran.

Donald Trump says Washington will get Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium someday. In the proposed peace proposal, the US again put forward the point of taking over uranium.

In an interview aired on Sunday, journalist Sharyl Attkisson asked Trump what stage the war with the Islamic Republic of Iran had reached, given that the US had not yet secured Iran’s fissile material.

“Well, we’ll get it someday, whatever we want,” he said. “We’ve been watching it, you know, I do something called the Space Force… If anyone gets close to that place, we’re going to know about it. And we’re going to blow them up,” Trump said.

The US and Israel launched their offensive in late February, portraying the war as a way to prevent Tehran’s development of nuclear weapons.

In its latest proposal, Washington reiterated its demands that Iran promise never to develop such weapons, halt all enrichment activities and hand over its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

Moscow has repeatedly offered assistance in the peace process and helped remove the material.

“We didn’t just make the offer; we already carried it out once before, in 2015. Iran completely trusts us, and not without reason,” Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters during Victory Day celebrations in Moscow on Saturday.

“Russia has never violated its agreements and continues to cooperate with Iran in its peaceful nuclear energy program, Putin added.

According to estimates by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran holds more than 400 kg of uranium enriched to 60%. Uranium grades for nuclear weapons typically require 90% enrichment or higher.

Although Iran has not published a response to the latest US offer, it has consistently refused to give up its uranium stockpile or halt its civilian nuclear program, while demanding that Washington provide non-aggression guarantees and withdraw its troops from the region. Tehran has also long denied plans to build a nuclear bomb.***
