CIREBON NEWS – Iran’s enriched uranium is a frightening thing for the United States (US) and Israel. US President Donald Trump also insisted that Iran’s uranium must be taken over before it could be used as a nuclear weapon.
One of the points in the peace proposal put forward by Washington states that Iran must stop enriching uranium. In Operation Epic Fury, US forces failed to retrieve Iran’s enriched uranium.
So far, Iran has refused to hand over its enriched uranium. The peace proposal put forward by Tehran emphasizes that the US must ignore Iran’s nuclear program because it has peaceful aims.

However, recently there have been rumors that Iran is willing to hand over its enriched uranium supplies but not to the US. The country in question has the right to receive Iranian uranium, namely Russia.
Citing classified documents, Saudi news station Al Hadath reported the idea emerged as part of the latest peace proposal that Tehran sent to the US via Pakistan.
Indirect talks between the two sides mediated by Islamabad have stalled since a ceasefire was established in early April. This follows a month of hostilities initiated by the US and Israel against the Islamic Republic in late February. Both Washington and Tehran have since repeatedly put forward proposals to end the conflict while rejecting each other’s demands.

According to the report, Iran is allegedly ready to freeze its nuclear program for a long period of time but only on the condition that highly enriched uranium will be transferred to Russia, not to the US. Tehran still refuses to fully dismantle its program, Al Hadath added.
Iran holds more than 400 kg of uranium enriched to 60%, according to International Atomic Energy Agency estimates. Weapon quality levels usually require 90% enrichment or higher.
Moscow has repeatedly offered its help to end the conflict, in particular by taking Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

“We’re not just offering that; we’ve already done it once before, in 2015. Iran completely trusts us, and not without reason,” Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters earlier this month.
Moscow has never violated its agreements, he stressed, and continues to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran on its peaceful nuclear energy program.
Washington has reportedly rejected Iran’s latest proposal as inadequate, Axios reported on Monday, citing an unnamed American official briefed on the matter. According to the official, Tehran only made “symbolic” improvements to the previous version.
US President Donald Trump has repeatedly insisted that Iran’s highly enriched uranium be handed over to America. Last week, he told Fox News that the issue was “more for public relations” and that getting Iran’s uranium stockpile would only make him feel better.
