CIREBON NEWS – Iran has strong pressure tools that have made the United States (US) think again about carrying out the latest attack. In this case, Tehran threatened to cut the fiber optic cable passing through the Strait of Hormuz, if the US and Israel carried out another joint attack.
Before the US and Israel carried out the latest attack, Iran had already tampered with the fiber optic cable under the Strait of Hormuz. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said fiber optic cables passing through the Strait of Hormuz could be subject to a permit system as Tehran tightens control over the waterway.
“After the imposition of control over the Strait of Hormuz, Iran, citing its absolute sovereignty over the bed and underlay of its territorial sea… may declare that all fiber optic cables passing through the waterway are subject to authorization,” the IRGC said in a post on social media.

Iran’s threat to the fiber optic cable under the Strait of Hormuz has made the US return to the negotiating table rather than carry out the latest attack. Washington’s attitude actually gave Tehran the upper hand and mocked US President Donald Trump.
Mohsen Rezaei, a member of the Iran Policy Determining Council, mocked Trump for setting and then canceling a deadline for a military strike against Iran.
Mohsen Rezaei said Tehran would not give in under pressure. In a post on X, he wrote that the “iron fist” of Iran’s armed forces and people would force the US “to step down and surrender”.

Meanwhile, Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned the US and its allies against making any more “strategic mistakes or miscalculations”, according to the Tasnim news agency.
Ali Abdollahi said Iran’s forces were stronger and better prepared than ever, adding that any new aggression would face a “much stronger” response than previous confrontations.
The latest information, IRGC troops attacked groups linked to the US and Israel in western Kurdistan province, near the border with Iraq.
