School Holidays 2026 Boost Lembang Tourism, Visits Increase up to 25 Percent

The 2026 school holiday period has brought a positive impact on the tourism sector in the Lembang area, West Bandung Regency. Since the beginning of July, a number of tourist destinations have been crowded with tourists from various regions. The increasing number of visitors has also boosted the turnover of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the tourist area.

This condition is visible in The Great Asia Africa (TGAA) and Floating Market Lembang areas. Until the final week of the school holidays, both destinations remain heavily visited by tourists, most of whom come with their families to enjoy the rides, cultural tourism, and the various culinary options available.

One of the tourists from Central Java, Wida (40), admitted to choosing to spend the holiday period with her family in Bandung. After traveling to Lembang, she plans to continue her journey to Bandung City to attend the Asia Africa Festival. “While on a family holiday, later I also want to go to Bandung City because there is the Asia Africa Festival,” she said, Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

The increase in the number of tourists is also felt by MSME actors in the tourist area. Dewi, a shopkeeper at one of the stalls in the Floating Market Lembang, said that sales during the holiday season experienced an increase compared to regular days.

Public Relations of The Great Asia Africa Lembang, Intania Setiati, mentioned that the rise in visits began to be visible since the start of the school holidays. The number of tourists this year is estimated to increase by 20-25%.***
