THE THOUGHTS OF THE PEOPLE OF SULTENG – In the midst of geopolitical dynamics that continue to be volatile, a crucial diplomatic step has finally been achieved to reduce tensions in the Middle East region. The United States and Iran have officially agreed to establish a ‘deconfliction cell’ (de-confliction cell). This joint step was taken as a real effort to ensure absolute compliance with the total cessation of all military operations taking place on the territory of the Republic of Lebanon.
It is hoped that this strategic agreement will be a turning point for creating more conducive security stability for the people of the region.
Synergy with Mediators for Peace in Lebanon
Based on a joint official statement released by the mediators, the formation of this deconfliction cell will involve direct interaction between the conflicting parties, the Government of the Republic of Lebanon, with full facilitation by international mediators. The main function of this special cell is to oversee and guarantee the commitment of all parties in complying with the termination points for military operations in Lebanon, as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (Memorandum of Understanding / MoU).

Through this structured joint supervision mechanism, it is hoped that the potential for violations or tactical misunderstandings in the field can be reduced to a minimum.
US Military Full Alert in the Skies and Seas of the Middle East
While diplomatic channels are starting to be opened through the formation of the deconfliction cell, military movements in the field continue to show a very high level of vigilance. The United States Central Military Command (CENTCOM) has firmly stated that the strength of their combat fleet will continue to maintain full presence in air space, land and water areas throughout the Middle East region.
To confirm this statement, CENTCOM shared visual documentation showing the activity of two of their fighter jets carrying out routine patrols in regional air space.

In addition to aerial surveillance, United States military authorities also published a number of photos recording the high alertness of their troops aboard a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincolnwhich is currently sailing to guard the Arabian Sea area. The presence of this military force is claimed to be a form of commitment to maintaining long-term stability while anticipating all forms of unwanted escalation during the ongoing deconfliction process.***
