Cianjurpedia.com – Israel’s Ministry of Health reported the second suspected Ebola case in the country involving a citizen who recently returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Laboratory examination of the case is still ongoing.
“A citizen who returned to Israel from the DRC two days ago sought medical treatment after experiencing fever, headache and diarrhea,” the ministry said in a statement on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
It was stated that this case is currently still a suspicion. Tests are being carried out and results are expected in the coming days.

The patient was placed in isolation according to protocols for handling dangerous infectious diseases and is undergoing examination at Sheba Tel Hashomer Medical Center, a referral hospital for such cases.
The day before, the first suspected Ebola case was reported by Israel.

Last May, the World Health Organization (WHO) designated the Ebola outbreak in DRC and Uganda as a health emergency with a risk of spreading to other countries.
