Dozens of ships cross the Strait of Hormuz

MANDALIKA THE MIND OF THE PEOPLE – A total of 15 ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz within 24 hours after obtaining permission from Iran. Iranian media reported the ships were allowed to pass after receiving official authorization from local authorities.

Reporting from Anadolu, Tuesday, April 7 2026, traffic is carried out amidst strict restrictions on this strategic waterway. Shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is still very limited.

Ship volumes are down by around 90 percent compared to before the attack on Iran. This drastic decline occurred since the United States and Israel launched attacks at the end of February.

The attack, which began on February 28, triggered a state of alert in the region. The conflict reportedly killed more than 1,340 people, including the Supreme Leader at the time, Ali Khamenei.
