FAKE MEDIA – Air attacks were launched again Israel to the region Gaza Strip on Monday (6/4) local time, even though the ceasefire agreement was still in progress. At least 12 people were reported killed in the series of attacks, including 10 victims from a location near a school that was a shelter for refugees.
This latest attack adds to tensions amidst a ceasefire situation that is still considered fragile. The deal previously received support from United States of America as Israel’s main ally.
Attacks in Refugee Areas
According to reports quoted from Reutersair strikes hit a densely populated area near a school in the Gaza Strip. This location is known to be a shelter for displaced Palestinians.
Medical officers and local residents said that before the attack occurred, clashes had broken out between Palestinians and Israeli-backed militias in the eastern area of the Maghazi refugee camp, central Gaza.
The militia reportedly attacked the school in a suspected kidnapping attempt. In the midst of this situation, an Israeli drone fired two missiles into the area.
As a result, at least 10 people died and a number of others were injured. Until now there are no exact details regarding the number of civilian casualties in the incident.
Citizen Testimonials
One eyewitness, Ahmed al-Maghazi, said residents were trying to defend their homes before the attack occurred.
“Residents tried to defend their houses, but the troops directly targeted them,” he said.
Meanwhile, a pro-Israel militia leader in an unverified video statement claimed his party had killed five members Hamas. Until now, there has been no official response from Hamas regarding this claim.
