DIRECTIONS – Air strikes launched by the United States (US) and Israel reportedly hit a number of areas in Iran on Tuesday 7 April 2026.
Several of the targeted points are in the north to west of the country.
According to Iranian media reports, explosions were heard in several cities, including the capital Tehran as well as Qom in the central region. Apart from that, attacks were also reported to have reached other areas such as Yazd.
Important infrastructure was also affected, including Khorramabad Airport in the western region and Mehrabad Airport in the north. Both are said to have been targets in the attack.

Iran’s state television station, IRIB, said several parts of Tehran were hit by attacks last night. Residential areas such as Tehranpars and Saadat Abad are among those affected.
