Garut PR- In the cold halls of the Capitol in Washington, DC, the loud voices of veterans echoed, not celebrating service, but demanding an end to the war. The Capitol Police finally took firm action by arresting more than 60 demonstrators who refused to disperse, as reported on April 21, 2026.
For some participants, this action was not just a demonstration, but an effort to urge Congress to act. They believe that this war is a policy initiated by the US President, Donald Trump, and must be stopped immediately before it has a wider impact.

The demonstrators also highlighted the humanitarian side of the conflict. They warn that war leaves not only physical scars, but also deep psychological trauma, both for soldiers returning from the front lines and civilians caught in the middle of the conflict.
This action took place amidst increasing tensions between the United States and Iran, as well as reheating the debate in Washington.
Congress’ role in overseeing, or even limiting, the Trump administration’s military moves is now under sharp scrutiny, showing how deeply divided views are on the direction of US foreign policy.***
