JURNALACEH.COM – Good news for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in 2026. The government ensures that accommodation in Medina is in a very strategic location. The furthest distance from the hotel to the Nabawi Mosque is confirmed to be only around 700 meters, which makes it easier for the congregation to worship optimally.
Head of the Madinah Work Area Accommodation (Daker) Section, Zaenal Muttaqin, explained that all hotels are located in the Markaziyah area or Ring Road area. This area is the closest and most popular zone for Hajj pilgrims from all over the world.
“Thank God, Indonesia managed to get a hotel quota in the Markaziyah area. This is certainly an improvement in services for the comfort of the congregation,” said Zaenal.
This year, the government has prepared a total of 118 hotels spread across three main areas. Syamaliah Sector 1 & 2 45 Hotels, Ghorbiah Sector 3 & 4 50 Hotels, Janubiah Sector 5 23 Hotels. Zaenal emphasized that the average distance from hotels to the Nabawi Mosque is 500 meters, with the closest distance only 50 meters. It is hoped that this closeness will make it easier for the congregation to carry out congregational prayers and Arbaeen worship.
The quality of the hotel provided is no joke. Some pilgrims will stay in hotels with four to five star standards. Each room will accommodate three to five people with adequate sleeping and bathroom facilities.
Even though the facilities are good, the congregation needs to understand that due to capacity limitations, one group will not always be in the same hotel building. However, officers are still trying to ensure that team or group members are placed close together.
The hotel staff, one of whom is the Operational Director of Astoneast Aiba Hotel, Ibrahim Albrins, expressed full readiness to welcome guests from Indonesia. Carpet replacement and bed adjustment to standard. The distribution of room keys is targeted to be completed in 30 minutes, and the congregation’s suitcases will arrive in their rooms in less than an hour.
There is one important thing that the congregation must pay attention to regarding washing clothes habits. Hotels in Medina generally do not provide washing machines. Congregants are strictly prohibited from drying clothes in hotel windows, hanging clothes on fire extinguisher sprinkler pipes, and nailing clothes to the walls of rooms for clotheslines.
”Violation of this rule can result in a fairly large administrative fine from the hotel management,” stressed Zaenal.
Congregants are advised to use laundry services or wash enough clothes on a small folding clothesline in the room. Considering that the stay in Medina is only about nine days, the congregation is advised to postpone major washing activities until arriving in Mecca.
“In Makkah, hotels already provide washing machines. Apart from that, the hot weather there means the clothes dry in just a matter of minutes,” concluded Zaenal. ***
