PAK MEDIA, EVIAN-LES-BAINS – The United States and Iran officially signed an agreement in the form of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which contains 14 points as a framework for ending the conflict involving the two countries as well as a number of parties in the region, including Israel.
The signing was carried out electronically by United States President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. According to White House officials, the process took place while Trump attended the G7 Summit in Evian-les-Bains, France.
This agreement is said to be the first step to end military tensions that have been going on since February 2026, as well as strengthening the ceasefire which is currently in effect.
Conflict Termination Framework
In this document, the US, Iran and related parties agreed to permanently stop all military operations and threats of the use of force. The agreement also includes stabilizing the situation in Lebanon, which has also been affected by the escalation of the conflict.
Both countries emphasized their commitment to respect each other’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and not interfere in each other’s domestic affairs.

During the negotiation period, there will be no major changes to the status of Iran’s nuclear program. Tehran also reiterated its commitment not to develop, acquire or possess nuclear weapons.
Easing Sanctions and Opening Economic Access

In addition, economic sanctions against Iran, including the energy and financial sectors, will be removed gradually with the implementation mechanism still to be discussed further.
The US will also withhold the implementation of new sanctions during the negotiation process, while opening exceptions to support Iran’s economic activities.
Opening of the Strait of Hormuz and Reconstruction
Iran in the agreement guarantees the security of commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz without charge. The strategic route will be reopened in stages after the process of clearing mines and military obstacles.
On the other hand, the US together with regional partners are said to be facilitating the establishment of an Iranian economic reconstruction and development fund worth at least 300 billion US dollars.
UN Monitoring and Approval Mechanism
To ensure implementation goes according to agreement, the two countries will establish a joint monitoring mechanism.
