CIREBON NEWS – President of the United States (US) Donald Trump is known as a controversial figure. The policies pursued by Trump are often surprising. The ‘Orange Man’ also likes to add enemies.
Trump often attacks his opponents with harsh words. Especially through Truth Social, his social media, he easily writes in a dismissive tone that he doesn’t like.
Later Trump launched a verbal attack on Pope Leo XIV, a critic who is known to be anti-war. Pope Leo XIV condemned Trump for carrying out attacks on Iran. But Trump again called the American-born Pope “weak”.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump – who initially hailed Leo’s selection as “a great honor” – said the Pope was “very bad for Foreign Policy”.
The US leader added that he did not “want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States.” Speaking later aboard Air Force One, Trump toughened up his remarks, calling Leo a “liberal guy” and saying: “I don’t think he’s done a very good job… I’m not a big fan of Pope Leo.”
The remarks came after the Pope stepped up calls for peace and diplomacy in the Middle East. On Friday, Leo wrote that “God does not bless any conflict” and “no reason can justify the shedding of innocent blood.”

On Monday, the Pope reiterated his stance, saying he “will continue to speak out against war.”
He added that he was “not afraid” of Trump and refused to “argue” with the US president. A senior Vatican official later dismissed Trump’s insults as a “declaration of helplessness.”
The clash came as Trump refused to rule out the possibility of resuming a “limited” attack on Iran after ordering a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

The move follows the collapse of 21 hours of US-Iran talks in Pakistan at the weekend, which Tehran said failed due to “excessive” and “unreasonable” US demands.
The US War Department said imposing a blockade on all maritime traffic in and out of Iranian ports would begin at 10:00 ET (14:00 GMT) on April 13. ***
