LATEST FLORES – An Easter morning that should have been full of joy turned into deep sorrow in Aiken County, South Carolina. A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a car killed two people and injured another on Jefferson Davis Highway, right near Ackerman Drive.
This tragic incident reportedly occurred shortly before 10.30am on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, shaking the tranquility of the holiday and leaving deep sorrow for the victim’s family and community. This news also caught the attention of local media, including WRDW News 12, which reported about this fatal accident.
Seconds of Deadly Accident
This horrific accident involved a 2020 Subaru Outback and a 2026 Kawasaki motorcycle. According to Master Trooper William Bennet of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the Subaru, which was traveling northbound on Jefferson Davis Highway, attempted to turn left to enter a private driveway.
Unfortunately, at the same time, a Kawasaki motorbike traveling from the south hit the car. The inevitable collision occurred at high speed, creating a devastating and tragic impact.
Both motorcyclists, whose identities have not been released, were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Subaru Outback car was immediately rushed to hospital to receive medical treatment due to his injuries. This accident adds to the long list of fatal incidents on the highway, especially during holidays which are supposed to be a time of togetherness and happiness.
