He called the Islamic Revolution a turning point in resistance to the evil plans of global oppressors.
“This strategic asset has long fueled the greed of many evildoers over the centuries. The record of repeated invasions by European and American foreigners—the insecurity, destruction and threats they have posed to the countries of the region—is only a small part of the evil plans of global oppressors against the people of the Persian Gulf,” the message said, as reported by the Mehr news agency.
Khamenei stressed that the new management system in the Strait of Hormuz will enhance development and provide great economic benefits to the nations of the region.

He projected a bright future for the Persian Gulf and completely “free from America”.
“The new legal framework and management system for the Strait of Hormuz will increase comfort and development for all countries in the region, and its economic benefits will bring happiness to the nation,” said Iran’s Supreme Leader.
Apart from territorial waters issues, Khamenei emphasized that Iran considers nuclear technology, missiles, nanotechnology and biotechnology as national assets equivalent to sovereignty over land, sea and air areas.

“Today, 90 million Iranians at home and abroad consider all national assets, including identity, spirituality, human talent, scientific innovation, industry and fundamental technologies, from nano and bio to nuclear and missile technology as their collective heritage,” he said.
Khamenei reiterated that the United States’ military presence is the main cause of insecurity in the region.
He doubted the ability of American bases to guarantee their own safety and that of their allies in the region.

He closed his message by emphasizing that the future of the Persian Gulf will be focused on serving the progress, comfort and prosperity of its people without foreign interference which is considered to have no legitimate place in the region.***
