MediaPemalang.com – The feud between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump reached levels no one could have imagined when the tech billionaire dropped allegations about Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted child sex trafficker who died in prison in 2019.

“Time to drop the big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in Epstein’s dossier. That’s the real reason they’re not public. Good day, DJT!” Musk wrote in X.
This accusation was made without any accompanying evidence, but it immediately rocked the American political universe and made headlines around the world.
What is the Epstein Dossier?
The term “Epstein dossier” refers to a collection of evidence federal investigators gathered from multiple criminal cases against Jeffrey Epstein, the wealthy financier accused of sex trafficking of minors. Most of the documents have been made public through court proceedings.
However, some documents are still sealed. Since returning to the White House, the Trump administration has released some of the files and promised to release more.
Trump and Epstein relationship
There is no doubt that Trump and Epstein knew each other. Both moved in the same social circles in the 1990s. Epstein attended parties at Mar-a-Lago, and Trump was recorded riding on Epstein’s private jet at least seven times.
In a 2002 interview, Trump even called Epstein “a wonderful person.” However, after Epstein was impeached in 2019, Trump declared himself “not a fan” of Epstein.
White House reaction
The White House declined to comment directly on Musk’s allegations. Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt issued only a statement: “This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the Great Beautiful Bill because it doesn’t include the policies he wants.”
Musk himself already knew Epstein. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2019, Musk admitted to having been at Epstein’s Manhattan home for about 30 minutes.
Musk’s claim without evidence has received attention from both political camps. A number of Democratic politicians have demanded that all of Epstein’s files be made fully public.
