SalatigaLatest – A case that had been hidden for years was finally revealed and shocked Japanese society.
The body of a man was found cut into two parts in the freezer of an apartment in Kobe City, Japan.

This terrifying discovery immediately sparked a large-scale investigation by the police which has now opened up the possibility that there is a murder element in the case.
Based on Japanese media reports, ABEMA News, the discovery of the body occurred on Saturday, June 20 2026, around afternoon local time.
When found, the victim’s body was in the freezer of an apartment unit and had been mutilated.
Victim Identified as Dead Since 2011
Police identified the victim as Yutaka Nishiguchi. Until now, the authorities are still trying to find out more about the victim’s residence and work history.

Forensic examination results show that Nishiguchi is thought to have been dead since November 2011. At that time, the victim was known to be 42 years old.
Even though an autopsy has been carried out, the exact cause of the victim’s death cannot yet be ascertained by the forensic team.
The victim’s body was cut into two parts
During the identification process, investigators discovered that the victim’s body had been mutilated in the abdomen, separating the upper and lower body.

The two body parts were then stored separately in two different bags before they were finally found in the apartment’s freezer.
This finding led investigators to investigate the possibility of a serious crime that occurred before the victim died.
Police form a special team consisting of 80 investigators
Initially this case was handled as a case of destruction and disposal of corpses.
However, developments in the investigation showed that there were a number of irregularities which made the police open the possibility of changing the status of the case.
On June 22 2026 at 20.00 local time, the Japanese Police formed a special investigation team involving around 80 investigators to investigate the case.
This step shows the seriousness of the authorities in uncovering what really happened to Nishiguchi and finding the party responsible.

Until now, the police have not announced any suspects or arrests in connection with this case.
