PURWOKERTO PORTAL – The international music world is in mourning after news of the death of legendary R&B singer Peabo Bryson at the age of 75.
The figure who was widely known for his soundtrack songs for Disney films, such as Beauty and the Beast and A Whole New World, died on Tuesday, June 2 2026 local time.
The family announced the sad news directly through an official statement. In their statement, the family said that Peabo Bryson died peacefully at 17.00 Eastern United States time, surrounded by family and those closest to him who loved him, quoted by variety.com.
Although the exact cause of death was not disclosed, the family previously said that the singer had suffered a stroke.
