EDITORNEWS.ID – President of the United States Donald Trump will reportedly receive a presentation regarding new plans for possible military action against Iran on Thursday (30/4).
Quoting the report Axios the presentation will be delivered by the Commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper indicating serious consideration of launching large-scale combat operations.
This step is said to be an effort to break the deadlock in negotiations as well as provide final pressure on Iran, especially regarding the issue of its nuclear program.
In its drafted plan, CENTCOM prepared a “short but intense” attack scenario with a strategy of targeting Iran’s infrastructure to push back to the negotiating table.

Apart from that, there is another option in the form of controlling part of the territory Strait of Hormuz to open commercial shipping lanes, although this could potentially involve the deployment of land troops.
Another scenario being considered is a special forces operation to secure Iran’s highly enriched uranium reserves.
In a previous interview, Trump said that a naval blockade was considered more effective than air strikes as the main means of pressure on Iran.
However, the report states that military options remain open if Iran does not show a compromise attitude in negotiations.

US military planners also anticipate possible retaliation from Iran against American troops in the Middle East region.
The presentation will also reportedly be attended by the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine as part of a follow-up strategy discussion.***
