KABAR-BANDUNG.COM – United States President Donald Trump threatened to imprison journalists who reported on the evacuation process of US military pilots in Iranian territory, following the crash of a US fighter jet some time ago.
This threat emerged after a United States fighter plane was shot down over Iranian territory on Friday (3/4). In that incident, there were two pilots on board the plane. A number of media reports later revealed that one of the pilots had been rescued by a US military rescue team.
In a press conference at the White House on Monday (6/4), Trump assessed that the publication of information regarding the rescue process had the potential to endanger ongoing military operations, especially efforts to rescue the second pilot.

“We didn’t talk about the first one for an hour. Then someone leaked something, and we hoped to find that leaker. We worked very hard to find him,” Trump said, quoted by Reuters.
“We will go to the media company that released it, and we will say, ‘This is a matter of national security, hand over the information or go to jail,'” he added.
However, it is not yet known for certain which media or journalists were referred to in this statement. A number of major media are known to report the pilot rescue process almost simultaneously…
