DEPOK RUBLIC – The United States is gathering international support to form a new coalition to reopen shipping access in the Strait of Hormuz which is currently disrupted due to the escalating conflict with Iran.
The US government through diplomatic channels has reportedly contacted various countries to join a maritime alliance aimed at maintaining freedom of navigation in this strategic route.
The proposed coalition will focus on coordinating maritime security, exchanging intelligence information, and strengthening diplomatic pressure on parties deemed to be obstructing international shipping traffic.
The Strait of Hormuz itself is one of the world’s most important energy routes because it is the main route for global oil distribution. Tensions in the region have sparked soaring energy prices and concerns about international economic stability.
