BOGOR RAYA DAILY — Tensions between Iran and the United States (US) began to ease after the two countries officially agreed to a ceasefire on Wednesday (8/4/2026). This agreement was reached after President Donald Trump stated that he accepted 10 main demands put forward by Tehran.
This ceasefire will be implemented effectively from April 7 2026 for the next two weeks. This diplomatic step is an important turning point in the armed conflict that has broken out since the end of February 2026.
President Donald Trump stated that the United States had achieved a number of its military objectives in the region. Instead, Iranian state television broadcast the announcement as a symbol of a major diplomatic victory for Tehran. Trump added that this two-week period would be used to complete negotiations towards a long-term peace agreement.
