THE MIND OF THE PEOPLE – Tensions in the Persian Gulf region have increased again after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a harsh ultimatum against ships trying to cross the Strait of Hormuz without permission.
According to a report by Al-Alam satellite television, the IRGC emphasized that it would act decisively against any ship that tries to pass through the route. This warning came after a warning shooting incident at a tanker off the coast of Sirik City, southern Iran.
“We continue to control the Strait of Hormuz and will act decisively against any ships that try to cross it,” the IRGC Command statement said.

This incident occurred off the coast of the city of Sirik, in southern Iran. Iran’s Persian Gulf Straits Authority (PGSA) confirmed that Iran had closed the Strait of Hormuz. This applies to all cruises.
It should be noted that Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz when the situation in the Middle East started to heat up. This happened when the US and Iran were in conflict again.
US President Donald Trump has called for an attack on Iran. Apart from accusing Iran of stalling the negotiation process, the US also believes that Iran deliberately downed their helicopter some time ago.

On the same day, the US Military Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that it had launched an attack on Iranian territory. Iran then immediately responded by attacking a number of US military bases.
This is a new chapter in the battle between the two countries which has broken out since February 28. The incident began when the US-Israel launched air strikes on Iranian territory, including the capital Tehran. ***
