Official data shows dozens of pilgrims underwent health checks upon arrival at the airport as part of arrival service procedures.

Officials noted that as many as 81 congregants received health examination services on the first day of arrival according to the latest recap.

Apart from that, a number of congregants were also included in the observation category because they experienced minor complaints that required further supervision.

A total of 12 congregants were registered for medical observation to ensure their condition remained safe before resuming worship activities.

Health officials also referred some congregants to advanced health facilities to receive more intensive treatment.

It was recorded that 10 pilgrims were referred to the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic in Medina to receive further medical treatment.

Meanwhile, 10 other congregants had to be referred to the local hospital because they required more serious treatment.

Airport Health Officer, Kadhafi, emphasized that checks were carried out from the start to prevent conditions from worsening.

“The congregation’s complaints varied, some were weak, dizzy, nauseous, mildly short of breath, and required observation,” said Kadhafi.

Kadhafi added that all complaints are handled according to the conditions of each congregation so that handling is more targeted.

This quick step is part of efforts to maintain the safety and comfort of the congregation while they are in the Holy Land.

Head of the Airport Working Area, Abdul Basir, said that the readiness of officers is the key to servicing the arrival of the congregation.

“We want the congregation to feel safe since arriving in the Holy Land,” said Abdul Basir, emphasizing his commitment to service.

Abdul Basir added that officers must be alert in directing the congregation to health facilities if complaints are found.

Coordination between health officers, flight crews and airport services continues to be strengthened to speed up handling.

“As soon as a congregation needs help, officers immediately coordinate with the health team,” explained Abdul Basir.

These efforts are made so that the handling process can take place quickly and appropriately according to the conditions faced by the congregation.
