Google Cloud Indonesia Country Director Karim Siregar has outlined three crucial factors that companies must fulfill to ensure artificial intelligence (AI) transformation is implemented effectively and delivers broad organizational impact.
Business Value and Trust Are the Primary Foundations
The first and most fundamental factor is having a clear business value. According to Karim, every company must be able to identify the specific areas of its operations where AI can provide the greatest benefit and be integrated most effectively.
“Each business needs to identify which areas are the most suitable for implementing AI,” Karim said during the Google Cloud Media Briefing in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
The second factor, he explained, is trust in AI-generated outcomes. Karim emphasized that without a high level of confidence in the technology’s output, organizations will struggle to move forward with broader implementation.
To build that trust, AI systems must undergo extensive training by continuously comparing their outputs with the expected results.
“At the beginning, we need to train the AI as much as possible and compare its results with the outcomes we expect so that the level of trust continues to increase,” he said.
He added that the introduction of AI agents should also be accompanied by adjustments to the organization’s way of working so that the technology can deliver optimal results.
Leadership and an AI Champion
Finally, Karim highlighted the critical role of leadership as the driving force behind AI transformation. He said AI initiatives require clear direction and accountability through the appointment of an AI Champion within the company’s organizational structure.
According to Karim, this leader is responsible for ensuring AI implementation runs smoothly while responding quickly to any challenges that arise.
“When AI succeeds in one area, it should be implemented quickly in other areas as well. That way, its impact can be felt across the entire organization, not just within one specific department,” Karim said.***
