PortalMagetan.com – The costs of the Iran conflict incurred by the United States reached around 80 billion US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 1,433 trillion. However, United States President Donald Trump considers this figure to be relatively small compared to the results obtained by Washington, namely ensuring that Iran does not become a nuclear threat.

In his statement on Tuesday, Trump emphasized that the spending was commensurate with the strategic goals the US government had achieved.

“That’s very cheap compared to what we’re doing. Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. Iran will never be able to use a nuclear weapon,” Trump said when interviewed by PBS News responding to reports regarding the additional budget that the Pentagon submitted to Congress.

According to Trump, failure to take this step could potentially result in Iran having nuclear weapons, which he considered would pose a greater risk to global security.

Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States Department of Defense (Pentagon) asked Congress to allocate additional funds of 80 billion US dollars to cover operational costs related to Iran as well as a number of other defense needs.

The report also states that Pentagon leadership has warned that the budget to support military operations could potentially run out this summer if Congress does not quickly pass a new defense budget bill.

Currently, the Pentagon’s budget for the 2026 fiscal year is recorded at around 1 trillion US dollars.
