CIREBON NEWS – Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation condemned Iran for releasing missiles targeting Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport. Kuwait called Iran’s action a brutal attack.
Previously, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) denied that its missiles targeted Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport. The damage that occurred there was due to the United States (US) Patrito Missile which misanticipated the attack.
The damage was likely caused by a US air defense missile that deviated from its path. Iran’s targets were US military bases, the IRGC statement said.

“Our investigation and research into the Kuwait passenger terminal attack shows that the IRGC air force did not fire at this target,” an IRGC spokesman said.
He claimed the destruction was caused by “a glitch in the American Patriot system” after an interceptor failed to hit an Iranian missile and landed at the terminal.
Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation later released a video which they said showed the moment an Iranian drone allegedly hit Terminal 1 at Kuwait International Airport on June 3.

The agency described the incident as a brutal Iranian drone strike, and said it caused loss of life, serious injuries and extensive material damage.
Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry earlier said at least one person was killed when a projectile hit Terminal 1 at the airport and other “vital facilities”, including the diplomatic mission. Several other people were injured, the ministry added, without specifying the number.
The explosion incident at Kuwait International Airport occurred after an exchange of attacks by the US and Iran. The IRGC said it had launched attacks on US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, including the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet, following the American attack on Qeshm Island.

The US War Department claimed that Iranian missiles fired at Kuwait failed to hit their targets, saying two projectiles fell before reaching the target or broke up midway.
Kuwait said its air defenses responded to missile and drone attacks during the incident. Due to this incident, Kuwait stated that it had the right to defend itself and carry out counterattacks.***
