On the way to the Élysée Palace from Les Invalides, President Prabowo’s series of vehicles received an honorary escort from 27 motorized personnel and 146 French Republic horsemen. This escort is a state honor given by the French Government to visiting heads of friendly countries and is a symbol of the close friendly relations between Indonesia and France.
Upon arrival at the Élysée Palace, President Prabowo was greeted by a guard of honor accompanied by military music as part of the state welcoming ceremony. Next, President Prabowo was received directly by President Macron and Mrs. Brigitte Macron under the main steps of the Élysée Palace. The two heads of state then held a joint photo session before entering the official state agenda.

“Today I think we will discuss several important issues, cooperation in the fields of defense, clean energy, education, research, and implementation of the Indonesia European Union CEPA agreement,” said President Prabowo in a joint press statement with President Macron.
During the bilateral meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by a number of ministers and high-ranking officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of France Mohamad Oemar.(BPMI Presidential Secretariat)
