The President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto attended a state ceremony as part of an official state visit to the French Republic on Thursday, May 28 2026. The state welcoming ceremony was held at Les Invalides, Paris, with a series of military honors.

Upon arrival at Les Invalides, President Prabowo was greeted directly by the French Prime Minister, Sébastien Lecornu. The reception was the opening of a series of solemn state ceremonies.
President Prabowo then paid tribute to the flag in a solemn state welcoming procession. The procession was accompanied by the playing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya, followed by the French national anthem, La Marseillaise.
After the playing of the national anthem, the event continued with the introduction of the delegations from each country. President Prabowo and Prime Minister Lecornu then introduced each other to the Indonesian and French delegations who attended the ceremony.
The Indonesian delegation who attended the ceremony included Ragowo Hediprasetyo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wiiava, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Paris Mohamad Oemar.
After introducing the delegation, President Prabowo boarded the ACMAT command car to carry out an inspection of the honor guard. This ACMAT car is also the same type of car that President Macron used on Bastille Day last July. The vehicle carrying the Head of State moved along the line of honor guards, before turning back towards the starting point.
The series of state ceremonies at Les Invalides took place with great honor and reflected the French Republic’s high appreciation for President Prabowo’s visit. After attending the state ceremony at Les Invalides, President Prabowo Subianto continued his journey to the Élysée Palace, Paris, France, with a series of magnificent state processions.
Along the way to the Élysée Palace, President Prabowo’s vehicles received an honorary escort from 146 horsemen and 27 motorbike personnel. This honorary tradition is a symbol of appreciation from friendly countries and also reflects the bilateral relations between Indonesia and France which continue to become closer and more strategic.(BPMI Presidential Secretariat)
