PURWOKERTO PORTAL – Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced that he was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer, but has successfully completed treatment with positive results.

This disclosure was made on Friday (24 April) in the midst of a ceasefire situation between Israel and Iran.

Netanyahu, who is now 76 years old, explained that he deliberately delayed the publication of his annual medical report by two months.

This step was taken so that his health condition would not be used as propaganda material by Iran during the conflict.

In the latest examination, the medical team found a malignant tumor measuring less than one centimeter in his prostate.

However, test results showed the cancer had not spread or metastasized. Based on doctors’ recommendations, Netanyahu underwent targeted radiation therapy which was completed about two and a half months ago.

He confirmed that his condition has now fully recovered. “I am healthy. A minor medical problem with the prostate has been completely treated,” he said.

Doctors also emphasized that early detection is the main factor in successful treatment without leaving traces of the disease.

This is not the first time Netanyahu has faced health problems.

In recent years, he also underwent hernia surgery and had a pacemaker installed. However, he emphasized that he would continue to carry out his state duties as usual.

To date, there is no indication that Netanyahu’s health condition will affect his role as Israel’s leader or the ongoing ceasefire negotiation process with Iran.***
