KABAR-SUMEDANG.COM – The Regional Government of Sumedang Regency, once again had the honor of being part of the Indonesian delegation team at an international forum at the ASEAN level, which was held in Ha Noi, Vietnam.
This international forum, called the ASEAN City Leaders Conference 2026, will bring together regional leaders from various countries in ASEAN, to exchange ideas, experiences and best practices in smart city development, digital transformation and public service-oriented government governance.
According to the Regional Secretary of Sumedang Regency Hj. Tuti Ruswati, the ASEAN City Leaders Conference 2026 forum, will last for four days, starting from 7 to 10 June 2026.

Apart from being attended by regional leaders in ASEAN, said Regional Secretary Tuti, this conference will also be attended by academics and researchers from various leading universities, as well as research institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). This also includes stakeholders who are concerned about carrying out urban development, managing environmental sustainability and improving the quality of life of the community.
“Sumedang’s participation in this forum is proof of international recognition for the innovation that Sumedang has developed, especially in the areas of digital government transformation, data management, and digitalization of public services down to the village level through the implementation of the Village e-Office,” said Sumedang Regional Secretary Tuti Ruswati, in a press release, Tuesday, June 9 2026.
For this reason, continued Tuti, this ASEAN forum will be a strategic opportunity for Sumedang, to introduce various regional innovations and expand cooperation networks on the international stage. Through this forum, Sumedang can further enrich insight and open up opportunities for cooperation to accelerate regional development.
