PR SOLO RAYA – The South Korean government is implementing a temporary visa exemption program for group tourists from Indonesia starting today. This temporary visa-free program only applies to group tourists.
The South Korean Ministry of Justice explained that a group of Indonesian tourists must consist of at least three people to be able to get a free temporary visa for up to 15 days.
The program will take effect on Thursday, May 28 2026 until the end of December 2026.
The local government decided to relax visa and entry requirements for foreign tourists at a tourism strategy meeting chaired by President Lee Jae Myung.
This step is part of efforts to encourage tourism to enter South Korea.

South Korea’s immigration service hopes to help improve the national tourism industry.
The government also implemented measures to prevent illegal stays, including requiring South Korean travel agents to submit lists of tourists via government websites 24 hours before arrival.
The list will be checked by officers to identify high-risk individuals, including those with a history of illegal residence or subject to entry restrictions.
Justice Minister Jung Sung-ho said the government would work with relevant ministries to ensure the program can encourage domestic consumption while maintaining order in foreign tourist visits.***
