PRFMNEWS – – In the midst of the atmosphere of sadness that still surrounds the Gaza Strip after the ceasefire statement, DT Peduli moved quickly to distribute the annual humanitarian program Meat Alms on the 1447 Hijriah Sacrifice Day, Wednesday 27 May 2026. This program comes in the form of distributing fresh beef to meet the animal nutritional needs of thousands of refugee families.

In contrast to the pre-war period in 2023, which still allowed distribution of local livestock, this year DT Peduli is focused on bringing in meat supplies from outside Gaza. This step was taken following the paralysis of the local livestock sector due to the ongoing onslaught of conflict.

The DT Peduli humanitarian team focused the distribution location around the Daarut Tauhiid Mosque, Deir Balah. This strategic location facilitates access for refugees who are spread across various emergency shelter camps. Since the Eid prayers were finished, the heads of families began to arrive in an orderly manner with invitation coupons to pick up the food packages.

DT Peduli succeeded in distributing a total of 2,050 kilograms of fresh beef. This amount is sufficient for the food needs of 1,050 families or reaches more than 6,000 beneficiaries during the two-day distribution period.

To get around the tight blockade, the DT Peduli team carried out the slaughtering, cutting and sterile vacuum packaging processes in Egypt in accordance with qurban sharia standards. Next, these logistical packages were transported via the land route to the Rafah gate which was opened on a limited basis, before finally being re-enumerated by local volunteers in Gaza to be distributed fairly based on a coupon system.

Syaikh Ismail Al-Fayyad, Administrator of the DT Gaza Mosque who is a local resident and representative of DT Peduli, said that this program was an oasis amidst the limited living facilities, clean water and electricity that plagued the refugee camps.

“Thank God, this food logistics managed to enter the Gaza Strip and we immediately distributed it to underprivileged families to bring joy on Eid al-Adha. This humanitarian initiative provided real benefits for 1,050 families during the two-day distribution period,” he said.

The success of this bridge of kindness program cannot be separated from the generosity of donors in Indonesia, ranging from daily workers, housewives, to students, who raise awareness collectively through the DT Peduli digital platform.

A refugee mother whom the team met at the location admitted that she was crying with emotion because for the first time in three years, her children could eat warm beef soup on Eid al-Adha. This program not only feeds the stomach, but also feeds the soul that they are not forgotten.

“Thank you for the support and contribution from our brothers and sisters at the Daarut Tauhiid Peduli Foundation. May Allah give you the best reward, bestow rewards and give blessings to the Indonesian people,” said Syaikh Ismail with emotion.

DT Peduli hopes that the blessings of Eid al-Qurban 1447 H can continue to stimulate more goodness, until one day, sacrificial meat can be enjoyed again in Gaza without having to be accompanied by the boom of bombs and the sobs of war.***
