PONTIANAK NEWS – The Indonesian government ensures that the management of the dam or hadyu for the 2026 Hajj pilgrims will be more orderly, transparent and accountable. As of Friday morning, Saudi Arabia time, May 22 2026, 126,832 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims had been officially recorded.

“In the history of pilgrimages, there is no data that can be as neat as this. The previous year only around 10 thousand were recorded. This year it has increased in an orderly manner to 126 thousand,” said Dahnil in Mecca, Saturday 23 May 2026.
Of this number, 90,956 dams will be cut in the Holy Land through the Adahi program, 32,691 will be cut in Indonesia, 3,195 pilgrims will choose fasting as a substitute for dams, and 1,076 pilgrims will carry out the Ifrad Hajj.
According to Dahnil, dam cutting in Saudi Arabia is scheduled to start 10 Zulhijah 1447 Hijriah or Wednesday 27 May 2026. The cutting process is carried out through the Adahi program with direct supervision from representatives of the Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah as well as the mass media as a form of public information disclosure.
The government is also preparing a digital notification system through the Nusuk application. Through this application, the congregation can find out the payment status and the hadyu cutting process directly via their mobile phones.
Apart from that, the government respects the choice of congregations who carry out dams in Indonesia according to their Islamic jurisprudence beliefs and trusted institutions in their respective regions.
On that occasion, Dahnil revealed that most of the meat from Indonesian pilgrims slaughtered in the Holy Land would be distributed to the Palestinian people in coordination with Adahi and the Government of Saudi Arabia.
According to him, this step is part of Indonesia’s humanitarian commitment as well as a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto’s direction to increase attention to the Palestinian people.
