CIREBON NEWS – The United States (US)-Iran war erupts again. US Marines and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) exchange fire in the Strait of Hormuz.

Tensions increased further after the IRGC opened fire on Indian and British cargo ships. US Marines shot back at the Iranian-flagged Touska ship. President Donald Trump then claimed that the Touska ship had been confiscated by the US Navy.

In another incident, US Marines carried out an attack on an Iranian ship trying to enter Omani waters. The ship was forced to withdraw to return to Iranian territory.

The IRGC then responded to protect the Iranian cargo ship. The quick response of IRGC Navy units to support the Iranian ships forced US forces to withdraw and leave the area.

The semi-official Mehr News Agency reported that clashes occurred between US Marines and the IRGC in the Oman Sea. Meanwhile, Iranian Radio and Television, IRIB, said that Iran had flown a number of drones to attack US warships.

The drone attack was in response to the US Navy attacking and seizing the Iranian-flagged Touska cargo ship. The American attack on Touska occurred about 80 km from Chabahar Port.

Iran’s Hazrat Khatam al-Anbiya military headquarters confirmed the attack claimed by the US military on a ship in the Sea of Oman in a statement carried by the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

“The aggressive Americans, by violating the ceasefire and committing maritime piracy, attacked one of the Iranian merchant ships in the waters of the Sea of Oman by shooting at it and paralyzing its navigation system by deploying several Marines on the deck of the ship,” said Hazrat Khatam al-Anbiya.
