Garut PR- When words turn into threats, and threats become potentially deadly orders, the world once again holds its breath. United States President Donald Trump’s statement about the possibility of a major attack on Iran is not just political rhetoric, it has become a dark shadow that haunts military command rooms.

Behind the cold, secretive walls of the Pentagon, unease begins to creep in. American military officers are now faced with a nearly impossible choice: obey supreme orders, or refuse and face consequences that could destroy their careers, even their lives.

Attacking it is not only an offence, but could be classified as a war crime.

In the worst case scenario, millions of civilians could be plunged into darkness: without electricity, without water, without access to medical services. A humanitarian crisis created not by natural disasters, but by human decisions.

The Soldier’s Dilemma: Between Order and Conscience

This is where the real horror begins, not on the battlefield, but in the hearts of the soldiers. The American military teaches absolute obedience. But international law demands the courage to say “no” to illegal orders. These two principles now collide, creating tense psychological pressure.

History records that in the Vietnam War, some soldiers refused orders that were considered unlawful. Some even act to stop atrocities. But the price to be paid is not cheap, military trials, stigma, and even destruction of life. Now, the shadow is back…
