Garut PR- The Lebanese sky is covered in mourning. This country declared a day of national mourning after deadly attacks from Israel which claimed at least 254 lives and injured more than 1,165 people in just one day, last Wednesday. The city was filled with panic, sirens wailed, and houses shook with the explosion.
Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, spoke in a firm tone, “We will mobilize all of Lebanon’s political and diplomatic power to stop Israel’s killing machine.” Salam stressed that the country would not remain silent amidst this wave of deaths.

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that Lebanon is not included in the ceasefire being negotiated between the United States and Iran. US Vice President JD Vance stressed, “We never made that promise.”
Iran has also highlighted these tensions. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed that Washington must choose between a ceasefire or continuing war through Israel. “The two cannot be at the same time,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s hospitals are close to collapsing under the pressure. The Minister of Health, Rakan Nassereddine, asked for international assistance because the number of civilian casualties was so massive that the health system was unable to handle it.
Tragedy also struck the world of journalism. Al Jazeera condemned Israel’s targeting and killing of its journalist, Mohammed Wishah, in Gaza, calling it a “heinous crime that cannot be tolerated.”
