LEBAK PORTAL – The United States (US) and Iran have signed electronically a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at ending the conflict, US media revealed on Monday 15 June 2026.
This MoU was signed online by US President Donald Trump, US Vice President JD Vance, and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, as reported by several sources.
The terms of the MoU are expected to be made public within the next 24 to 48 hours, according to a top US official.

The MoU document is scheduled to be officially signed in Switzerland on June 19.
Earlier, on Monday, Trump stated via his Truth Social account that oil tankers had started moving out of the Strait of Hormuz.
On Sunday June 14, Trump said that an agreement with Iran had been reached, after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the information on social media X.

The US and Israel launched a massive attack on Iran on February 28, which resulted in the death of Iran’s then supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, and sparked a regional conflict that changed the security dynamics in the Middle East.
