CIREBON NEWS – During the war in the Gulf Region, Iran lost a number of important figures as a result of being killed by attacks from the United States (US) and Israel. Operation Epic Fury has killed at least 48 senior Iranian political, clerical and defense officials.
Even though its leaders died, Iran’s struggle against the US and Israel continues. The following is a list of names of important Iranian figures who died as a result of brutal attacks by the US and Israel:
1. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
2. Secretary of the Iranian Defense Council Ali Shamkhani
3. IRGC Supreme Commander Mohammad Pakpour
4. Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Abdolrahim Mousavi
5. Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh
6. Head of the Supreme Leader’s Military Office Mohammad Shirazi
7. Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani
8. Minister of Intelligence Esmaeil Khatib

Several officials died along with their families. Khamenei’s daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were killed along with the supreme leader. Meanwhile former Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi and IRGC budget chief Jamshid Eshaghi, among others, lost their wives and children to US and Israeli missiles.
According to Tehran figures, nearly 3,500 people have been killed and 26,500 injured in Iran since the conflict began, nearly half of them civilians.
Despite inflicting severe damage on Iran, the Pentagon suffered several humiliations in the early weeks of the conflict. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) succeeded in destroying a number of US and Israeli assets in the Middle East.

The US also faced fire and pipe damage aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford; the forced retreat of two aircraft carriers – Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln – out of range of Iranian missiles.
US military evacuates tanker aircraft from Al-Udeid and Prince Sultan air bases under Iranian fire; the downing of five fighter jets; and a series of ‘misdirected fire’ incidents that Tehran claims were staged to hide the true US losses.
Damage to American bases in the region is far more extensive than the Pentagon has publicly acknowledged, and may take several years and up to $5 billion to repair, NBC News reported in late April.

At least 15 US military personnel have been killed and more than 520 injured since February 28, although the Pentagon has been accused of manipulating casualty lists to hide the true losses.***
